MOLOKO Magazine was created as a conceptual project. In the era of digital media portals, periodical paper editions have to change their function to remain in demand. I wanted to make a magazine as a thing, as a joke. The topic of the issue was chosen randomly. This time "ice cream". In the case of MOLOKO, ice cream is not vanilla summer entertainment, for a start, these are seven-thousand-meter snow caps, ragged closed glaciers, which are gradually replaced by sorbet and plombir.
There are almost no texts in the journal, the main content is photos. A lot of photos. This thing is more about looking through than reading. But if you look more closely, you can get information about the specific coordinates of the peaks, recipes of Italian gelato and addresses of good summer Moscow cafes. With delicious ice cream certainly. However, the text is more likely a tribute to the classic magazine than a real reason for publication. The magazine comes out once a quarter, the visual joke changes from issue to issue, but careless disregard of the text in favor of photos remains!
Журнал Молоко создавался как концептуальный проект. В эпоху цифровых медиа-порталов периодические бумажные издания вынуждены изменить свою функцию, эволюционировать, чтобы оставаться востребованными. Мне хотелось сделать журнал-шутку.
Тема номера выбрана случайно. На этот раз "мороженное". В случае с MOLOKO, мороженное не ванильное летнее развлечение, для начала это снежные шапки семитысячников, рваные закрытые ледники, которые постепенно сменяются щербетом и пломбиром. В журнале почти нет текстов, основной контент — фотографии. Их много. Их очень много. Но если полистать более внимательно, можно выудить информацию про конкретные координаты вершин, рецепты итальянских джелато и адреса ламповых летних московских кафе. Впрочем, текст — скорее дань уважения классическому журналу, чем реальный повод для публикации. От номера к номеру визуальная шутка меняется, но беспечное пренебрежение к тексту в пользу фотографий остается!
